Before my trip, I compiled a list of things I wanted to do/see in Budapest. I’m very impressed that I managed to do the majority of them! And on a budget. Seriously, Budapest is super cheap!!!
My list:
Royal PalaceRiver Danube and the bridges from a great vantage pointFisherman’s Bastion- Buda Hills
The Great SynagogueParliament BuildingThe Shoes on the DanubeThe Basilica of St Stephen- Memento Park
- Szechenyi Baths – saw them but didn’t go in
- Castle Hill Caves
House of Terror- Ruin Bar – found some but didn’t go in
- Obuda
- Margaret Island
- Citadella
- Aquincum
Millenium Monument- Kerepesi Cemetery
Liberty MonumentHeroes Square
We didn’t get to explore Buda and Obuda as much as I would’ve liked, nor did we make it over to Margaret Island. I also found a few ruin bars, but didn’t go in them. They seemed to be full of 20 year old students and I felt like I would’ve been out of place!!
It was a jam packed trip! I cannot recommend Budapest enough!!
Awesome list! I pretty much have the exact same. How long were you there for?

I was there for 3 nights altogether. Perfect amount of time to do pretty much all the major sights
